- The XLIV International University Course of Spanish Music, known as "Música en Compostela" held every summer in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, will include the following events in celebration of the Centenary Year of the birth of Joaquín Rodrigo:
-On view from July 26 to August 19, 2001, at the University Chapel, the travelling exhibition "Joaquín Rodrigo Centenary: the man, the musician, the maestro", organized by the National Commission for the Joaquín Rodrigo Centenary.
-August 15, 2001, 20:00, Pazo de Mariñan. Recital in tribute to Joaquín Rodrigo by the violinist Agustín León Ara.
-August 21, 2001, 21:00, Auditorium of Galicia. Concert by the Symphonic Orchestra of Galicia, conducted by Víctor Pablo Pérez , performing Concierto de Aranjuez and Fantasía para un gentilhombre. Guitarist: Marco Socías.

- September 24-29: Zurich, Switzerland. Internationale Meisterkurse. "Hommage à Joaquín Rodrigo" . Professors: María Luisa Cantos, piano, Agustín León Ara, violin, Ana Higueras, voice, Marco Socías, guitar.
