COMPETITIONS
1. Guitar
makers Competition, Aranjuez, November the 16th, 2000. The
best guitar makers are invited to present a guitar specially created
to conmemorate Joaquin Rodrigo in his centenary. A jury of eminent
guitarists will choose the finest instrument presented, for its
beauty and sound.
2. Joaquín
Rodrigo International competition, sponsored by the Spanish
National Organization of the Blind, ONCE, January 11-19, 2002.
3. Joaquín
Rodrigo Research Prize , sponsored by The ViceChancellorship
of the University of Madrid Extension and the Victoria and Joaquín
Rodrigo Foundation.
4. Certamen
Internacional de Guitarra "Andrés Segovia",
La Herradura, Almuñecar, Granada. January, 2001.

National Schools Competition, organised by the ONCE and
dedicated, in its XVII edition, to Joaquin Rodrigo.
6. Drawing competition
organised by UNICEF. All the children from Valencia between
6 and 12 are invited to participate with their drawing "in
honour to Joaquin Rodrigo".
7. The Eighth
International Festival and Competition for Classical Guitar
to be held in Plovdik, Bulgaria, in June, 2001, will be dedicated
to the Centenary of Joaquín Rodrigo.

International Guitar Competition of Savona, Italy. 10th
edition dedicated to Joaquín Rodrigo in his Centenary Year. September
14, 15 and 16, 2001.

Complutense University of Madrid Research Prize In collaboration
with the Victoria and Joaquín Rodrigo Foundation (The Foundation
endows the prize with 500.000 pesetas)

National Poetry Prize (Fifth Poetry Series, October 2000
- June 2001) 250.000 pesetas. In tribute to Maestro Joaquín Rodrigo
in his Centenary Year. City Council of Aranjuez

National Prize for Painting (Fifth National Painting Contest).
First prize: 1,000,000 Pesetas. Second prize: 500.000 pesetas.
