The Victoria and Joaquín Rodrigo Archive offers enormous cultural interest, as its contents extend beyond the strictly musical sphere. The Archive is an indispensable source of information for anyone interested in the history of music and the cultural life of twentieth century Spain.

It includes documentation that spans a period of almost 100 years, accumulated during the lifetime of Victoria and Joaquín Rodrigo. Among graphic documents there are 5000 photographs, 10,000 programs from premieres and other concerts, and numerous posters; audio material includes recordings of radio interviews with the composer, old recordings and a selection of CDs; audio-visual documents record numerous images of the Maestro throughout his long life; some 25,000 documents of his entire private and professional correspondence with many of the outstanding figures of the twentieth century ; more than 50,000 press articles including reviews and critiques of his music, together with his own writings and articles in the press as a critic and musicologist ; all the books of his private library, portraits, sculptures, furniture and personal possessions.
