PERFORMANCE COMPETITION OF THE WORKS OF JOAQUíN RODRIGO
Ecole Normale de Musique, Paris

Rules and Regulations:

1) The competition is open to advanced level players or singers of any nationality and age.

2) Each applicant must present a file with the following:

-a curriculum vitae with a photocopy of a passport or ID, and two letters of recommendation from outstanding musicians.

-a program of not more than 15 minutes containing one or two works by Joaquín Rodrigo with a minimum duration of 4 minutes

-an application form duly signed and completed. Application forms available from: Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris 114 bis Bd Malesherbes 75017 Paris

The file must be sent to the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris before January 31, 2002

3) Fifteen candidates will be selected from the files submitted.

4) The stages of the competition will be published and performances will take place in the Sala Cortot on March 9, 2001 starting at 14:30.

5) Candidates will enter in alphabetical order, starting with a letter chosen by public draw.

6) The jury, named by the Musical Orientation Council of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and the Victoria and Joaquín Rodrigo Foundation, will make a selection from the candidates and will decide on the winner of the prize, which will consist of a Scholaarship to study for one year at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris/Alfred Cortot. There may be other prizes and special mentions.

7) Registration in the competition implies acceptance of the present rules and regulations as well as the presence of the candidate on the day and hour to be announced one month before the date of the competition.
