from the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Valencia for his symphonic
poem, Per la flor del lliri blau. Receives the Conde de Cartagena
Scholarship for further study in Paris.

Death
of his teacher, Paul Dukas. Composes the Sonada de adiós
(Homenaje a Paul Dukas), for piano, in his memory.

Residence
in Paris, Salzburg and Freiburg.

Lectures
at the University of Santander Summer Courses.
1939
Composes
the Concierto de Aranjuez in Paris. Returns permanently to
Madrid, named Head of the Artistic Section of the Spanish National
Organization for the Blind (ONCE), Contributor to the Music Department
of Radio Nacional. Begins activity as music critic.
