In 1989, sensing the need to protect and control the growing popularity of the music of her father, Cecilia Rodrigo, only child of the composer, founded Ediciones Joaquín Rodrigo.

Under the supervision of Victoria and Joaquín Rodrigo, and thanks to the assistance of excellent legal and musical advisors, the first challenge was to recover those works which were not available to musicians due to neglect by publishers, and later to print other works which to date had never been published. The musical production of Joaquín Rodrigo was brought together under a controlling body.

Ediciones Joaquín Rodrigo thus became a music publisher whose principal goal is to promote, protect and further the artistic legacy of Joaquín Rodrigo. EJR is empowered to grant or deny licenses for any use of the works of Joaquín Rodrigo.

A major part of Rodrigo’s catalogue is published by Ediciones Joaquín Rodrigo alone or as co-publisher with others such as Unión Musical Española or Schott Musik.

EJR provides all information with respect to the life and works of the composer. Several times a year, an informative bulletin is published with the latest events and activities concerning Joaquín Rodrigo, EJR and the Foundation.

Ediciones Joaquín Rodrigo is located in Madrid, at 11 Calle General Yagüe.
