1935 | Death of his teacher, Paul Dukas. Composes the Sonada de adiós (Tribute to Paul Dukas), for piano, in his memory. | |
1936 | With the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, the Conde de Cartagena Scholarship is cancelled. In May, he gives a lecture at the Sorbonne on "The vihuela and its players". | |
